Realme China President Xu Qi Chase posted on Weibo that there are now over 30 smartphone models with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but he doesn’t believe any of them have “truly hit the performance limit.”

This emerges in relation to the Realme GT5, which has long been surrounded by rumors that it will use the 8 Gen 2 chip. Those rumors have indeed been confirmed. Loser Digital chat station is less vague, he writes that the phone will pair the 8th Gen 2 with a whopping 24GB of RAM.

Only one phone currently has that much (Red Magic 8S Pro+) but more are on the way. This will be LPDDR5X RAM along with UFS 4.0 storage.

The Realme GT5 is expected to have two versions, similar to the recent GT Neo 5. This means one with a 4,600mAh battery and 240W fast charging and a more contained version with a 5,000mAh capacity and 150W “only” charging w.

The “GT5″ name was officially confirmed a long time ago, and we’ve heard murmurs of a GT5 Pro with a periscope zoom camera (with a 64MP OV64B sensor). This is in addition to a 50MP main (IMX9 series 1/1.4” sensor) and an 8MP ultra wide angle. The display is said to be a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate (similar to GT3).

These are all unofficial information, of course, the official Realme teasers should start checking those details as we get closer to the GT5 launch later this month.
