MediaTek unveiled the new Dimensity 1080 SoC yesterday, and afterwards Realme Vice President Madhav Sheth announced that Realme will launch devices powered by Dimensity 1080 this year.
Sheth hasn’t divulged anything about these Dimensity 1080-powered Realme devices or provided any timeframes for their launch, but we expect to hear more soon.

The Dimensity 1080 chip is based on the 6nm process. It comes with an octa-core CPU consisting of two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6 GHz. Graphically intensive tasks such as gaming and video editing are handled by the Mali-G68 GPU and there is also support for 200MP camera, 5G sub-6GHz networks and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
