The Realme 11 series returned in May and they shared the stage with the Buds Air 5 Pro earphones. Today, we learned that the wearable audio devices will reach their first international market on August 23rd: they will be launched in India, alongside Realme 11 5G and Realme 11x 5G.
In just two days, Realme revealed for the first time that the Buds Air 5 Pro would be coming to India, and today we saw another case with a different size, LED placement and patterned blue colour: surely this is the vanilla Buds Air 5, a probable successor to the Air 3 gems.
Buds Air 5 Pro has 11mm woofers and 6mm planar drivers, ANC, and supports a high bitrate LDAC codec. They’re splash-proof to protect against sweat and the occasional rain, and Realme said they can isolate up to 50dB of noise thanks to six microphones (three on each bud). Battery life is estimated at 11 hours with ANC off or 40 hours with the charging case on.
The big unknown is how much they’ll cost: The Pro retails for CNY 399 ($60) in China, but that price will be raised in India after taxes and tariffs.
