Asus’ ROG Phone 7 series is on the way and the official launch is scheduled for April 13th. Two weeks before the unveiling, the phones appeared on Taiwan’s National Communications Commission website.

Two phones have appeared, both looking similar to the Phone 6 range: one with a small display on the back, possibly the Pro, and another without.

One of the battery cells has also been certified as having a 3,000mAh capacity, meaning the total should be 6,000mAh with dual cells allowing for faster charging. Speaking of charging, an adapter was also pictured, visibly offering speeds of 65W (20V at 3.25A). The phones will also get a protective case that highlights the design on the back, and an Aero Active Cooler has also been certified.

ROG Phone 7 and Phone 7 Pro will arrive as a slight improvement over their predecessors. The changes are likely to involve a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and Android 13 out of the box, while the display is likely to remain the 6.78-inch AMOLED with 165Hz refresh rate.

The cameras may or may not have changed, but what’s more important is the kind of performance and cooling upgrade Asus is bringing to these new phones.
