The Oppo Developers Conference took place in recent days and one of the final announcements was support for Phone Link and Link to Windows.

The feature was previously only available for select Samsung and Honor devices, as well as the Surface Duo. Microsoft has confirmed that some devices from the OnePlus, Oppo Find, Oppo Reno and Realme series will also join them.

Phone Link is an app that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. It allows smartphone users to connect their devices, view and reply to messages, receive notifications, navigate some apps, drag and drop files between PC and smartphone.

There is also a corresponding Link to Windows app, which needs to be installed on your Windows 10/11 computer and from then on connecting both devices is relatively simple and straightforward.

It’s important to remember that only devices on ColorOS 14 will be able to connect. They will be joined by OxygenOS 14 and Realme UI 5.0 phones once totally independent brands OnePlus and Realme launch their flagships.
