Oppo’s Find X6 series is here, bringing updates across the board and what may be the most impressive camera setup out there.

Oppo Find X6 Pro

Let’s start with the Find X6 Pro, which according to Oppo is ushering in the era of “three main cameras”. All three cameras on the back of the Find X6 Pro feature the largest sensors in the smartphone world in their respected locations.

The large camera has the 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor found on the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro, behind a 23mm f/1.8 lens. The ultrawide lens is a 15mm f/2.2, and behind it is a 1/1.56-inch IMX890 sensor, one of the largest used in an ultrawide camera to date.

Then there’s the periscope unit with a 65mm equivalent focal length, the same 1/1.56-inch IMX890 sensor, and a bright f/2.6 aperture—two firsts on a periscope camera.

The cameras are once again Hasselblad branded and you get software color adjustment with the Hasselblad Natural Color profile, Hasselblad Pro mode, the classic XPAN mode for panoramic shots and even finer details like a true Hasselblad shutter sound and a Hasselblad Watermark that includes the shooting parameters in a border below your photo.

There’s a Hasselblad portrait mode that takes advantage of wide-angle and telephoto cameras to produce results that aim to emulate the XCD30 (30mm f/3.5, medium format lens) and XCD80 (80mm f/1.9, medium format lens). format).

Oppo is also pushing the possibilities of its new cameras through its custom MariSilicon X image processor. It allows for faster focusing and accuracy, as well as an image stabilization range of 42% for the periscope camera, which Oppo says is an industry leader.

All three cameras support deep fusion of uncompressed RAW image data for improved clarity and shadow and highlight information. Find X6 Pro has an upgraded 13-channel spectral sensor to judge ambient lighting and adjust white balance accordingly.

Using all of its built-in smart features, the Find X6 Pro will be able to offer 6x hybrid zoom with the periscope lens, with what the company calls “full optical quality.” It also allows for equally good 4K video at both the native 3x and 6x zoom levels. Speaking of video, Find X6 Pro supports shooting in Full Dolby Vision 4K HDR.

The rest of the hardware is also impressive. Oppo Find X6 Pro has a 6.82-inch 3168x1440px AMOLED display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Oppo claims this is the world’s brightest panel with a peak brightness of 2,500 nits.

Inside, the Oppo Find X6 Pro has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM (256GB model, UFS 4.0) and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM (256/512GB, UFS 4.0).

Powering the Find X6 Pro is a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 100W SuperVOOC wired charging (100% in 28 minutes) and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging (100% in 52 minutes). Oppo claims the battery will retain 80% of its original capacity after 1600 charge cycles, which is double the industry standard.

Oppo Find X6 Pro is available in brown, black and green. The Brown colorway has a combination of metal-like glass for the top of the back panel and vegan leather for the rest. The camera island is enclosed in a rounded lens module made from aerospace-grade aluminum. It’s all crafted to mimic the look and feel of a vintage camera.

The Black and Green models use AG glass that has been polished to give it a metallic look. Of course, the Find X6 Pro is IP68 water and dust resistant.

The Oppo Find X6 uses a Dimensity 9200 chipset and fits a 6.74-inch 2772x1240px display with an adaptive refresh rate of 40Hz-120Hz.

The Find X6 retains the 50MP resolution of all three cameras, but downscales the main sensor to IMX890 so that it now matches the telephoto. The ultrawide gets the smaller JN1 sensor (1/2.76 inch) but is still capable of autofocus and offers macro shots from as close as 3cm. Most importantly, the industry-leading periscope zoom is here.

The Find X6 comes with a slightly smaller 4,800mAh battery with 80W wired charging, but lacks wireless support. Find X6 is also protected only IP64.
