While everyone is anxiously waiting for the next flagship, OnePlus 12, OnePlus is also working on another new device, this one much cheaper. Well, “new” if you have a very flexible definition of the word.

We are talking about the OnePlus Nord N30 SE, which has just obtained TDRA certification in the United Arab Emirates. So far so good, and this certification actually reveals the name. But it also gives us the model number: CPH2605. And this is the model number of both the Nord N30 launched in North America and the Nord CE 3 Lite.

OnePlus Nord N30 SE is coming: a rebranded Nord N30, itself renamed Nord CE 3 Lite

These two phones are identical devices sold under different names in different markets, and it seems that two isn’t enough for OnePlus, which is preparing to add a third twin to the roster. For now it is unclear where the Nord N30 SE will be sold, other than the United Arab Emirates.

It’s also a mystery why OnePlus is doing this. Why can’t it be Nord N30 (we chose the shortest name of the group) everywhere in the world? Why do some people have to choose a Nord N30 SE or a Nord CE 3 Lite? What do “SE” and “CE” mean? So many questions and absolutely no answers from OnePlus on this topic.

Anyway, the Nord N30 SE, like the Nord N30 and the Nord CE 3 Lite, will have a 6.72-inch 1080×2400 touchscreen, the Snapdragon 695 SoC at the helm, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of expandable storage, a system of triple rear camera (108 MP main, 2 MP macro, 2 MP depth sensor), 16 MP selfie snapper and 5,000 mAh battery. It will most likely launch with Android 13 on board, although Android 14 is already available.
