The Nubia brand will launch a new flagship on July 20 and we have received a lot of details via the official Weibo page. The event will take place on Wednesday from 14:00 local time (6:00 UTC) and will introduce the Nubia Z40S Pro.

The device will succeed the Nubia Z40 Pro launched in February with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The design of the Z40S Pro is also slightly modified with a flat display this time and a redesigned rear camera module.

The device recycles the camera setup of the Z40 Pro which includes a 64MP Sony IMX787 primary sensor with 35mm equivalent lens and OIS, a 50MP ultrawide module that doubles as a macro cam and also features OIS and a periscope module 8MP 125mm equivalent with 5x optical zoom.
The new bit in the Z40S Pro is the sliding hotkey that will automatically switch to a “street photography mode”. Whether the key will be remappable remains to be seen. The battery of the new phone is confirmed at 5,000 mAh.
