The Nothing Phone (2), which launched on July 11, appeared on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which hardly comes as a surprise since the processor has been officially confirmed to power the Phone (2) from Carl Pei in May. Pei also revealed the rationale behind choosing this chip, which you can read about here.

The Nothing Phone (2) unit that went through the reference database runs Android 13 and has 12GB of onboard RAM. In the first run, it scored 1,733 and 4,207 points respectively in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests. And in another, it scored 1,739 points in single-core tests and 3,983 points in multi-core tests.

Nothing has yet to detail the phone’s spec sheet (2), but the brand has confirmed that the smartphone will include a 6.7-inch display and a 4,700mAh battery. Nothing has also promised to deliver three years of Android and four years of security updates to the phone (2) to make it more sustainable.
