We got our hands on the Nokia X30 for the first time at IFA 2022 in Berlin and now the phone has arrived in our office for a full review. We have Ice White color version, but there is another option: Cloudy Blue.

The Nokia X30 comes in a recycled box with the usual paperwork, SIM tool, and a USB-C to USB-C cable. It doesn’t come bundled with the power adapter, however, so you’ll need to purchase one separately if you don’t already own a compatible charger.

The Nokia X30 is built around a 6.43″ FullHD+ 90Hz AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The display has a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication and a hole punch for the 16MP selfie camera.

The X30’s back panel, made from 64.5% recycled plastic, sports a dual camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera (with OIS) and a 13MP ultrawide camera. The Nokia X30 is 8mm thick, has a recycled aluminum frame and weighs 185g. It also has IP67 dust and water resistance.

The Nokia X30 is powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC, and our unit has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It runs Android 12 out of the box and will receive three Android version updates. Nokia has also promised three years of monthly security updates for the X30.

Powering the whole package is a 4,200mAh battery with 33W charging support. The smartphone supports QC 3.0, PD 3.0, and PPS standards, so you can use compatible chargers to top up the X30’s cell.

The rest of the highlights of the Nokia X30 include a USB-C port, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC. The smartphone also supports eSIM and 5G networks and comes with OZO Spatial Audio Capture.
