Today we welcome the “Best Design Android Phone”, as Motorola calls it, the Edge 30 Neo, to our office. We have the unit in its purple color Veri Peri, Pantone’s color of the year 2022. The other three colors – Aqua Foam, Black Onyx and Ice Palace – also make it clear that the focus here is on design.

We’ve already handled the Motorola Edge 30 Neo, so we’re going to shift the focus more on the unboxing experience and the color of the phone.

Motorola includes Edge 30 Neo with a 68W charger and USB-C cable.

Motorola claims ambiguous “power for the day” with just 10 minutes on the adapter. We will make sure to enter more specific numbers on charging times. Alternatively, you can charge Edge 30 Neo at 5W with a wireless charger.

The Motorola Edge 30 Neo is a compact phone. Its display measures 6.28 inches, which places it in the company of the Xiaomi 12X, or close to the Galaxy S22. The Moto isn’t as premium on the inside, but you’d never guess it on the outside.

It has a well-structured rear panel and a quality 120Hz OLED at the front. As a bonus, the Edge 30 Neo also has IP52 splash resistance. The weight of 155g is also impressively light these days.

Finally, the Veri Peri color is dubbed by Pantone, the company recognized for having the de facto color space for color calibration, as the color of the year 2022. There is a small plaque recognizing the Pantone validation on the box and on the phone.
