Motorola held a big event in China today where it announced a trio of new phones. The Razr 2022 is the brand’s latest foldable and has presumably caught the most attention while the X30 Pro and S30 Pro offer more conventional designs with top-notch specs.
Motorola X30 Pro
Motorola X30 Pro is the first phone on the market with a 200MP camera. It includes Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1, a 1 / 1.22 ″ sensor with f / 1.95 aperture, OIS and binning of 16 in 1 pixel. The 200 MP shooter can group its pixels from 16 to 1 to 2.56 µm in its default resolution of 12.5 MP. It can also produce 50MP stills with single 1.28μm pixels or even natively 200MP with 0.64μm pixels. The main cam can also capture video up to 8K at 30fps.

The second camera sensor on the back is a 50MP ultrawide module while the third cutout is reserved for the 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto lens which offers 2x optical zoom. There’s a 60MP selfie cam housed in a perforated hole on the screen that uses Omnivision’s OV60a sensor.
Motorola X30 Pro offers a 6.67-inch curved OLED with FHD + resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel can produce up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness, is also HDR10 + rated, and has a built-in fingerprint scanner.
As with all recent Android flagships, the Moto X30 Pro is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset along with 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 or 512 GB of storage. The software side is covered by Android 12 with MyUI 4.0 no top.
The X30 Pro gets a 4,610mAh battery with support for 125W wired fast charging (0-100% in 19 minutes) and 50W wireless fast charging via an optional Motorola wireless charger.
Motorola X30 Pro is available in black and white colors and starts at CNY 3,699 ($ 548) for the 8/128 GB casing and goes up to CNY 4,499 ($ 668) for the 12/512 GB model. Open sales in China begin today.
Motorola S30 Pro
Motorola S30 Pro is a Snapdragon 888+ equipped phone with a 6.55 “curved OLED and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with a 50MP main cam (Omnivision OV50A) with OIS, an ultrawide module 13MP and a 2MP depth sensor.There’s a 32MP selfie shooter housed within a fist grip cutout on the front.
The S30 Pro boots Android 12 with MyUI 4.0 on top and carries a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. The phone is available in black and blue, the latter of which features a faux leather finish.

Pricing starts at CNY 1,999 ($ 326) for the 8/128 GB entry-level model and goes up to CNY 2,899 ($ 430) for the 12/512 GB high-end model. Open sales in China begin today.
