Motorola silently unveiled the Moto G42 in early June, so the phone went on a road trip to Europe a few weeks later. Today the G42 landed from its intercontinental flight to India. It is officially launched for India, with an MSRP of INR 13,999 for the only version on offer, available in Atlantic Green and Metallic Rose colors, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

The Moto G42 will be available on Flipkart and you can get an instant discount of INR 1,000 via an SBI credit card. The phone is listed in both color variations, but it is not yet possible to order it: “it will arrive soon,” says Flipkart. The latest addition to the mid-range G-series, the G42 features a 6.4-inch 1080×2400 60Hz AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, a triple rear camera system (50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro), a 16MP selfie shooter and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. Works with Android 12. The fingerprint sensor is side mounted and the phone is IP52 rated for splash resistance .
