Last year MediaTek released the first chipset based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process and was one of the first to use ARM’s high-performance Cortex-X2 core. And since November is around the corner, it’s only logical to expect the company to release its next-generation flagship chipset.

MediaTek Dimensity 9200 with Cortex-X3 core coming next month

According to a reliable tipster, MediaTek is preparing to release the Dimensity 9200 SoC next month with ARM’s Cortex-X3 at the helm, which promises a 25% performance increase over its predecessor.

The new Immortalis G715 GPU is also expected to make an appearance, further boosting performance. The SoC will still be based on TSMC’s 4nm production node and will likely use the same Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510 cores as before.

The Dimensity 9200 is expected to arrive much earlier than its predecessor on various vivo and Oppo phones starting December 2022.
