It’s official: the revamped MacBook Air with M2 will be pre-ordered on July 8 (this Friday) and will begin shipping worldwide a week later, on July 15 (just as the insiders claimed). Prices in the United States start at $ 1,200 ($ 1,100 for teachers and students).

This is for a version with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For an extra $ 300 you can get the version with a 10-core GPU and 512GB of storage. A 30W or 67W USB-C power adapter is included for free (depending on which model you get), but you might want to pick up a few accessories along the way. Compared to the M1-based MacBook Air, the new M2 model has a slightly larger 13.6 “Liquid Retina display (with higher brightness, 500 nits).
