Fresh from its announcement, we have the new Poco Watch on trial. This is Poco’s first foray into smart wearables, and it’s in line with the company’s doctrine: attractive features at an aggressive price point.

The Poco Watch costs just € 79 and is on sale right now. Comes in a simple box with the watch itself (ours is black but there are also blue and gold versions) and a proprietary pin charger.

Little watch for the review

The Poco Watch’s controls and functions are on par with the rest of the market – there’s a single button that wakes the watch and then takes you to the app screen or back to the home screen. Inside, there’s a combined SpO2 and heart rate sensor that can constantly monitor your heart rate.

A negative aspect of the Poco Watch is the non-replaceable strap. It attaches via a proprietary mechanism so you can’t attach standard straps.

The Poco Watch is very small

The Poco Watch is quite small. It packs a very respectable 1.6-inch AMOLED display, but the watch itself is very small. Pictured here on an average men’s wrist, it looks a little too small.

But that smaller size means the watch is very light at just 31 grams. This makes it more suitable for a sleep tracker than your average 44mm watch.

The Poco Watch also has some must-have features, such as an always-on display, GPS, health monitoring with over 100 modes, notifications, and two-week battery life.
