Redmi and Poco absolutely love playing the rebranding game and it sure looks like this isn’t going to end anytime soon. In fact, Poco may be ready to rename another device: in this case, we’re talking about the Redmi Note 10S, launched with that name in 2021.

It’s a little late to rename a phone more than a year after it first appeared, but that’s exactly what some newly emerged FCC documents show will happen. Little asked for an FCC certification based on the previous one released for the Redmi Note 10S, given that the two phones are identical except for some minor variations.

As you can see in the screenshot above, the Redmi Note 10S (with model number M2101K7BNY) used MIUI 12 when it was certified, while the next Poco model will launch with MIUI 13 on board – understandable, a year later. Furthermore, the Poco phone will share a RAM / storage version with its brother (6/128 GB), but will also have two new ones, which have not been seen on the Redmi: 4/64 GB and 4/128 GB. It will also be available in a new blue version.

The Redmi Note 10S has a 6.43 inch 1080×2400 60Hz AMOLED screen, the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC at the helm and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It comes with a four rear camera system ( 64MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, 2MP depth) and a 13MP selfie shooter in the front.

The next Poco should have all these features too, and given the hardware here we assume it will be part of the C or M families of Poco devices. With FCC certification out of the way, the official launch is likely just around the corner.
