As the new year begins, we have some new ideas to spice up our YouTube channel. While we love reviewing the latest smartphones, it’s good to take a look back every now and then to see how far things have come. This was the idea behind our latest video project detailing the evolution of camera phones. We’ve compiled a list of what we consider to be the 40 most influential camera phones over the past 25 years in a fun 15-minute video.
There’s a lot to come from the turn of the millennium and the humble Kyocera VP-210 to the ongoing megapixel wars, ever-growing image sensors, advances in lenses, and computational photography we take for granted these days. The sensors on the back of our phones have undoubtedly become the selling point for most of us as they preserve our precious memories. That’s all from us: sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
