Google’s next budget smartphone, the Pixel 7a, has been leaked in all its glory in some sleek looking renders today.
Unsurprisingly, the Pixel 7a borrows heavily from the Pixel 7 in terms of back design, which makes sense considering they’re theoretically part of the same generation of smartphones as Google’s stable, though most likely still a few months away. official inauguration of the 7th.
The Pixel 6a mimics the visor-like camera island of the Pixel 6, and similarly, the Pixel 7a mimics the metal bar of the Pixel 7. Up front, however, the 7a’s price becomes much more apparent due to the thick frames all around (and a doubly thick chin at the bottom).
The phone should measure 152.4 x 72.9 x 9mm (10.1mm at the camera bump). The Pixel 6a was slightly smaller across all axes, coming in at 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.9mm, but these differences (aside from width) are small enough that you’re unlikely to notice them even with the two side by side .
The Pixel 7a will presumably come in two colors: White and Dark Gray, which Google will likely call something completely different like Charcoal and Chalk.
According to rumors, the handset will come with a 90Hz FHD+ display made by Samsung, Sony IMX787 and IMX712 sensors for the rear cameras, support for wireless charging (limited to 5W), and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
