Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S24 in South Korea have reached a new high, local media reported. Nearly 1.2 million devices were pre-ordered in the first week, surpassing the Galaxy S23 range’s 1.09 million mark in the same period.
ETNews said the company is on track to reach 36 million shipments of the new flagships, a new high since the record 30 million of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ duo, launched five years ago.
Samsung is seeing growing interest in its devices not only online, but also in physical stores. People flock to touch phones and see new AI features. An operator has officially confirmed that over 60% of pre-orders are for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

While interest in the new Galaxy S24 phones is strong, it still lags behind Galaxy Note 10 pre-orders, which were over 1.3 million in August 2019. Samsung spokesperson confirmed success, but pre-order details they will be revealed once the market launch hits on January 30th.
