Apple is said to be working on an overhauled cooling setup for its iPhone 16 series and now we get our first set of confirmations with a leak of the iPhone 16 Pro battery prototype. Images reveal the battery is enclosed in a brushed metal bracket which probably helps in the heat dissipation process.

The leaked iPhone 16 Pro lithium-ion battery cell is listed with a capacity of 3,355 mAh (13.02 Wh) and is manufactured by China’s Desay Corporation. It features the same J shape as the iPhone 15 Pro series batteries.

For reference, the iPhone 15 Pro features a slightly smaller battery capacity of 3,274 mAh. It remains to be seen whether the design and capacity of this first battery prototype will end up being the same as that used on the production iPhone 16 Pro models.
