The HTC U23, which was unveiled last week, is now available for purchase in Taiwan through HTC’s official Taiwanese website. It comes in two colors and a single 8GB/128GB memory configuration priced at TWD 14,990 ($480/€435/INR 39,160).
The HTC U23 is built around a 6.7-inch FullHD+ 120Hz OLED screen with a hole-punch centered 32MP selfie camera. And at the rear, it sports a triple camera system consisting of 64MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP depth.
The HTC U23 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, runs Android 13 out of the box, and has a microSD card slot for memory expansion. It is powered by a 4,600mAh battery with support for 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. The smartphone also supports reverse wireless charging.
The rest of the HTC U23’s highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G connectivity, NFC, and an IP67 rating. The smartphone is also equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
If all of this sounds familiar, that’s because the HTC U23 is basically the U23 Pro with less storage, a lower resolution main camera (64MP vs 108MP), and no macro unit. The HTC U23 Pro was unveiled in May and has two memory options: 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. You can check out the detailed specs comparison of HTC U23 and U23 Pro here.
