Infinix has partnered with Flipkart to launch two phones and a laptop in India this month. These are not new models, rather they are an expansion of current devices into a new market.
The refurbished 2023 Infinix Zero 5G launched in December with a retail price of $240, though the company noted that this will vary by region. Compared to the original, the 2023 version updates to a Dimensity 1080 chipset (vs. Dimensity 900) and replaces the main camera sensor with a 50MP unit. However, it has lost the 13MP 50mm camera. The original Zero 5G has an RRP in India of ₹25,000, but can now be found for ₹20,000 (which is close to the $240 guide).
The second phone is another revamp, the 2022 Infinix Note 12i. This replaced the original’s 6.82″ HD+ LCD display with a 6.7″ FHD+ AMOLED display (both at 90Hz) and reduced the size, but left most other characteristics unchanged. Though the original 12i never made it to India, the Note 11 is quite similar (except for the chipset: Helio G88 vs. G85), so we can look at its price: ₹15,000 MSRP, currently available for ₹12,500.
The third product is a high-power ultrabook: the Infinix Zero Book Ultra. It runs on a 12th generation Intel Core i9 and has a physical “Overboost” switch, as well as a dual fan solution to keep it cool. The laptop can be configured with up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. It has a 15.6-inch 1080p display with 100% sRGB coverage and a 70Wh battery. The whole thing tips the scales at 1.8kg and measures 17mm thick.
The exact launch date of the two phones and laptop should be confirmed in the coming days, ditto for prices.
