Infinix launched the Note 30 VIP in June in two colors: Magic Black and Glacier Blue. Today these are joined by a special edition of the smartphone called Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition.

Infinix collaborated with BMW Group’s Designworks for the Note 30 VIP Racing Edition, which, the company says, “is a powerful symbol of performance and racing fervor.” It has integrated racing elements into the phone’s design to represent speed and passion and offer personalized experiences to its young users.

The design of the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition takes inspiration from road racing and features 3D Lighting Leather technology on the back cover, allowing the light band on the back in the iconic BMW tricolor to shine through the grain of the black leather.

Infinix says the light band, which indicates the phone’s status through different light patterns, symbolizes speed, performance and power, “echoing the advanced nature of the Digital Racing Dashboard and Infinix’s persistent spirit of challenge.”

The Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition also integrates motorsports elements into its design to echo the racing aesthetic, with the back cover resembling the checkered flag and the palm grip embossed with small triangles to improve grip and stability, like high-performance racing wheels.

The differences between the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition and the standard model aren’t just cosmetic, as the Racing Edition also comes with an “extensively customized operating system.” This includes a harmonized theme with the colors of the light band on the back and Magic Ring, which seems inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island and aims to provide seamless multitasking by eliminating the need to switch apps.

Additionally, the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition comes in a special BMW-themed retail box with extra accessories, including a 15W wireless charger and TWS earphones. Infinix also offers VIP benefits to Racing Edition customers, including exclusive after-sales support, priority repair services and other premium VIP privileges.

However, the specifications of the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition remain the same as the regular model. That means you get the Dimensity 8050 SoC, a 6.67-inch FullHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, 108MP main camera, 32MP selfie shooter, and JBL-tuned stereo speakers. The smartphone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition will be released in global markets with an approximate price of $315, but the brand is yet to reveal how much RAM and storage it will have on board. The regular model comes with 256GB of storage and up to 12GB of RAM.
