The new TWS offering features active noise cancellation with adaptive sound control that tailors noise cancellation based on your activity. The earbuds will automatically switch to ambient mode when they detect you’re walking or waiting at a bus stop so you can hear announcements, and will then resume blocking out surrounding noise when you’re on the bus.

Each WF-C700 earbud weighs just 4.6 grams and pairs via Bluetooth 5.2 with support for SBS and AAC audio codecs. Sony is promising multipoint pairing with a future software update that should arrive later this summer.

The new earphones also offer spatial 360 Reality Audio, DSEE sound upscaling and fine-tuning of the equalizer via the Headphones Connect app. You get physical buttons on each gem that offer programmable single, double, and press-taps.

The buds promise 7.5 hours of playtime with ANC on and 10 hours with ANC off. The 300mAh battery case extends those numbers to 15 hours with ANC on and 20 hours without.
