Infinix launched the Note 12i in May in Kenya with the Helio G85 SoC and a 90Hz LCD. Today, Infinix introduced the Note 12i 2022, which comes with multiple screen, design and memory options.
While the Kenyan Note 12i is built around a 6.82-inch HD + 90Hz LCD, the Note 12i 2022 is equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with FullHD + resolution. Infinix doesn’t mention the Note 12i 2022’s screen refresh rate, so it’s safe to assume it’s a 60Hz panel.
Speaking of memory configuration, the Note 12i comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the Note 12i 2022 has two options: 4GB / 64GB and 6GB / 128GB. However, both smartphones support virtual RAM storage and expansion.
At 7.8mm, the Infinix Note 12i 2022 is 0.5mm thinner than the Note 12i. It is also lighter than the Note 12i (188g vs 198g). Furthermore, the design of its camera island is also different. It has five circles on the back instead of four like the Note 12i: one for the flash and three for the cameras. The fifth is for symmetry only.

However, the camera setup of the Note 12i 2022 is the same as the Note 12i – you get a 50MP main camera to which QVGA units and 2MP depth are added, and the selfie camera uses an 8MP sensor.
The rest of the Infinix Note 12i 2022’s highlights include the Helio G85 SoC, Android 12-based XOS 10.6 and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging. 6-layer 3D graphene cooling and dual speakers with DTS audio. You also have a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port.
Infinix Note 12i 2022 6GB / 128GB model is priced at IDR2,299,000 ($ 150 / € 153) but is available for IDR2,199,000 ($ 144 / € 146) in Indonesia via Lazada as part of the offer launch in three colors. The price of the 4GB / 64GB version is unknown, as is the availability of the smartphone in other markets.
