Huawei Watch GT 3 has been around since last year, now comes a more elaborate Pro model. Like the previous GT 2 Pro, this one also has a ceramic version and a Porsche Design model. If you prefer something cheaper and less flashy, there is also a new smart band.

Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro is available in two sizes: 46mm (titanium) and 43mm (ceramic). They have 1.43 “and 1.32” AMOLED displays respectively. The larger model promises up to 14 days of battery life with typical use (8 days for heavy users), the smaller one should last 7 days (4 days with heavy use). The charging speed has been increased by 30% and a 10-minute charge should be enough to last the whole day.

Water resistance numbers tend to be deceptive, and most smartwatches aren’t suitable for diving. This is, however, as it is rated for free diving up to 30m and has several features to help you train.

The GT 3 Pro can also be used as a golf watch as it has maps for over 300 preloaded golf courses. In total, there are over 100 sports modes of which 18 modes are labeled “professional”.
The watch has a built-in ECG sensor, which provides far more cardiac data than a typical heart rate sensor. There is also a blood oxygen monitor and a thermometer, the watch also features sleep and stress monitoring.

The watch runs HarmonyOS, of course, and has NFC for typical mobile payment use cases, but with the right vehicle it can also act as your car key as well.

Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro (46mm, titanium) starts at CNY 2,500 ($ 380 / € 360 / ₹ 29,000). It has a sapphire crystal and a ceramic back. The 43mm ceramic version starts at CNY 3,000 ($ 455 / € 430 / ₹ 35,000) and also has sapphire crystal. You can get a leather strap (calfskin) or a ceramic bracelet. Finally, there’s the Porsche Design model for CNY 4,700 ($ 710 / € 680 / ₹ 55,000), which is paired with a patented invisible butterfly buckle for the strap.

The 46mm titanium version goes on pre-order today in China, if you want the 43mm ceramic version you will have to wait until May 4th to pre-order one, the Porsche Design arrives the day after. All three will go on sale on May 5th.
Huawei Band 7
If you want something more discreet – and above all something cheaper – the Huawei Band 7 offers great value for money. Easy when it costs just CNY 270 ($ 40 / € 39 / ₹ 3,100).
The strap measures just 9.99mm thick, thinner than most smart bands and weighs 16g. Even so, it has enough charge in its battery to last 14 days of typical use. There is an Always On feature if you want information at a glance, but that will drain the battery faster.
The strap has a 1.47 “(194 x 368 px) AMOLED display. For comparison, Xiaomi’s Mi Smart Band 6 has a 1.56” (152x 486 px) display and is 12.7 mm thick. However, the Huawei strap can be had in one of four colors: Black, Red, Green and Pink (with a gold bezel).
In addition to the usual heart rate monitoring, there is a blood oxygen sensor on board, which can work during the night to detect signs of sleep apnea. The strap has 5 ATM water resistance and has 96 sport modes.
There are two versions of the strap: the basic CNY 270 model and a slightly more expensive CNY 310 option with NFC support.
