Honor just introduced the Play 8T, an affordable smartphone with a big battery and a Dimensity 6080 chipset with a 2.4GHz CPU.

The screen of the Honor Play 8T is a 6.8” LCD with Full HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. It is claimed to reach 850 nits of brightness. The processor is split into two core clusters: two Cortex-A76 cores are clocked at a maximum speed of 2.4 GHz, while the other six Cortex-A55 cores run at up to 2.0 GHz.

The 50MP primary camera on the back has an f/1.8 lens and sits next to a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera, placed inside a punch-hole, has an 8 MP sensor and an f/2.4 lens.

The phone has a 6,000mAh battery with 35W charging support.

Honor Play 8T ships with Android 13, topped with MagicOS 7.2. Other highlights include stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, a micro SD slot, and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power key.

Honor offers the Play 8T in three colors: Midnight Black, Jade Green and Streaming Silver. The price for the 8/256GB variant is CNY 1,099 ($150/€142), while the 12/256GB option is CNY 1,299 (under $170/€160). Sales are already underway at the company’s website and major third-party retailers in China.
