Talking about a GoPro Hero11 Mini may have thrilled Session owners – there hasn’t been an update to the tiny action camera in over half a decade. Leaked data (courtesy of Win Future) shows that the Mini will not be as small as the Session models.
On the plus side, it will be as powerful as the upcoming GoPro Hero11 Black flagship. It appears to have the same 27MP image sensor capable of capturing videos at a resolution of 5,616 x 3,744 pixels.

Both 11 series models will use last year’s GP2 processor, which can handle 5.3K video at 60fps, 4K at 120fps and 2.7K at 240fps, it can also perform live streaming at 1080p. HyperSmooth stabilization will be updated to v5.0, TimeWarp will remain at v3.0.
As you may have noticed, the Hero11 Mini has no display, neither on the front nor on the back. We don’t know the battery capacity yet, but the lack of display (and possibly a smaller battery) is what makes the Mini smaller than the Black.

Approximate dimensions are 50 x 50mm and almost 40mm thick (note there are two mounting points: one on the bottom as usual and a new one on the back). For comparison, the GoPro10 Black measures 71.8 x 50.8 x 33.6mm, while the Hero5 Session measures 38 x 38 x 38mm. Additionally, the Session had a tiny display across the top, not big enough for a viewfinder, but big enough to show the recording mode, recording time, and a few icons.
There are still no words on prices. When the Hero5 generation was launched, the Hero5 Session was not only smaller, but less capable and therefore also cheaper. The Hero11 Mini will certainly be cheaper than the Black, but probably not as cheap as a Session model would be.
