Google officially stopped sticking to the “first Monday of the month” schedule for releasing Android updates last year, but here we are on the first Monday of the month and, you guessed it, a new update is out.

All still-supported Pixels are starting to get it over the air, though as usual, it should be noted that Google’s rollouts are notoriously slow, so it could be at least a few days, if not longer, before every single eligible Pixel device there outside receives the notification.

Google sends the February update for its Pixels

After installation, you will use software version UQ1A.240205.002 on all global models except the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro which get UQ1A.240205.004. All Verizon models get UQ1A.240205.002.A1 except the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro which have UQ1A.240205.004.A1. All SoftBank Japan models get UQ1A.240205.002.B1 except – say it with us – Pixel 8 and 8 Pro with UQ1A.240205.004.B1.

The update includes general improvements to system stability and performance, camera improvements on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, a fix for display corruption under certain conditions on the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, a fix for an issue with the external display on the Pixel Fold, general improvements to Wi-Fi stability and performance on the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, and a fix for stability and performance issues with “some third-party apps” on all devices.
