The Google Pixel 8 Pro was leaked today in CAD-based renders and apparently retains the same design language as its predecessor. It’s quite early for these renders as the phone is only expected to be released in October, but Google may bring it forward on May 10 during the I/O developer conference, just like it did with the Pixel 7 series last year.

The Pixel 8 Pro has more rounded corners than last year’s Pixel 7 Pro, with an overall less boxy look. Even the camera island is different, even if it’s still instantly recognizable as belonging to a Pixel. This time around, it seems Google has chosen to house all three cameras in the same oval “aperture” in the metal. There’s also a new sensor under the flash, although it’s currently unclear what that could be.

The Pixel 8 Pro measures 162.6 x 76.5 x 8.7mm and is approximately 12mm thick at the camera bump. The display is said to be around 6.52 inches smaller than that of the Pixel 7 Pro, but apparently this adjustment has to do with creating more rounded corners. We can also see the power and volume buttons on the right, the USB-C port and speaker on the bottom, while the SIM tray is on the left side.

The phone is expected to be powered by the upcoming Google Tensor G3 SoC, which is said to be based on the unannounced Samsung Exynos 2300, which uses Samsung’s 3nm manufacturing process. This could end up improving both performance and efficiency over the Tensor G2 fabricated at 5nm.

Moving towards speedier releases, Google’s mid-ranger Pixel 7a has leaked not once, but twice in the last couple of days, and now a new report from a usually reliable source claims this device will be released in June. Also in June, the Pixel Fold will hit stores, according to the same source.

The Fold will be offered in two color options: Carbon and Porcelain. Think of them as dark gray or black and white or off-white, respectively. The device will only ship with 256GB of storage. So far it has been said that the price is around 1,700 euros.

On the other hand, the Pixel 7a is said to be offered with 128GB of storage in Arctic Blue, Carbon and Cotton shades, with a possible Jade on the way. Think of these as blue (obviously), black/grey, white, and green, respectively. The price should be around €500 in the EU. Both the Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a were reportedly announced at Google’s I/O developer conference.
