Google’s upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will only be announced in October, if history repeats itself and the company sticks to its usual timeline. Despite this, they have been losing for months now.

As we get closer to the launch event, more and more minute details start to emerge. Today, a usually reliable source brings us information on the versions in which the two models will be sold.

The Pixel 8 will supposedly come with 128GB or 256GB of storage, which is exactly the same as its predecessor. Those hoping for a bump to 256GB for the entry-level model will be disappointed. Pixel 8 will be available in three colors, called Licorice, Peony and Haze.

The larger Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, will have three storage versions. 512GB will be added to the 128GB/256GB combination. It too will be offered in three colors, called Licorice, Porcelain and Sky.

According to previous rumors and leaks, the Pixel 8 will be more expensive than the Pixel 7 at launch ($650-$700 vs. $600). It will have a 6.17-inch 1080×2400 120Hz display with built-in ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a 50MP main camera with a new Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor, the same 12MP selfie and 11MP ultrawide cameras as its predecessor, a 4,485mAh battery with support for 24W wired and 12W wireless charging, and of course the next-generation Tensor chipset at the helm.

The Pixel 8 Pro has a 6.7-inch 1344×2992 120Hz screen, the same chipset, same new main camera, new 64MP ultrawide, as well as the same 48MP telephoto and 11MP selfie cameras as the Pixel 7 Pros.
