In February, we exclusively gave you your first look at the Doogee S98 and reported that Doogee will launch two more devices in its S98 series, dubbed the S98 Pro and S98 Ultra, which are expected to arrive in April or May. The S98 is already official, and while we await more details on Doogee’s Pro and Ultra models, we have the S98 Pro specs and pictures for you.
The Doogee S98 Pro is a rugged smartphone, and our source tells us that the camera island on the back is inspired by an alien’s head. The protective case that will be bundled with the S98 Pro also has an alien-inspired design.
The camera island of the S98 Pro comprises a 48 MP main camera (Sony IMX582) and a 20 MP night vision camera (Sony IMX350) joined by an unknown resolution thermal imager. For selfies and video calling, there will be a 16MP unit (Samsung S5K3P9SP) at the front inside the teardrop notch.

The smartphone will be equipped with a 6.3 “FullHD + LCD display protected by Gorilla Glass and will have at the helm the Helio G96 SoC with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, expandable up to 512 GB via microSD card. robust will run Android 12 out of the box.
The S98 Pro will contain a 6,000mAh battery that will draw power through a USB-C port up to 33W. However, it will also support 15W wireless charging.

The rest of the highlights of the Doogee S98 Pro include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, IP68 / 69K dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810G certification, NFC (region dependent), and a customizable key.
It’s unclear how much the Doogee S98 Pro will cost, but our source claims it will launch towards the end of May.
