Disney has revealed plans to introduce an ad-supported tier for its Disney + service and today we learned that it will arrive on December 8th. Starting next month, users in the US will have to pay $ 8 per month for the entry level, while those without ads are getting a price increase to $ 11.

Here is the complete list of new prices:

Level New price
Disney + Basic (with ads) $ 7.99
Disney + Premium (No advertising) $ 10.99
Duo Basic Bundle (new customers only): Disney + and Hulu (with ads) $ 9.99
Basic Trio Package – Disney + & Hulu & ESPN + (with ads) $ 12.99
Trio Premium package – Disney + & Hulu & ESPN + (no ads) $ 19.99
Disney Legacy Pack (existing customers only) – Disney + (ad-free) and Hulu (ad-free) and ESPN + $ 14.99

All prices are monthly, although users can pay for a 12-month subscription for Disney Basic and Disney Premium. It would cost $ 80 and $ 110 respectively, which means the last two months of the period are effectively free.

It must be said that ESPN + has no ads for on-demand content, but live games still have ads during their designated breaks. Meanwhile, Hulu, another streaming platform owned by Disney Company, is raising prices for the live TV subscription on December 8 as well, just two months after updating prices for the on-demand service.
