Bungie reportedly wants to take a piece of the lucrative mobile gaming market pie with a Destiny game for android and ios. This has not been officially confirmed, but multiple related clues lead to the same conclusion.

Bungie will partner with NetEase Games on the project. CEO Pete Parsons said NetEase has “a significant amount of experience in mobile devices that we don’t have.” This comes after Bungie is looking to build their own mobile engine.

The job announcements reveal that the company is working on an “unannounced mobile FPS game”. This appears to be a new game rather than a mobile port of Destiny 2, the current flagship of the company. And some insiders say it’s been in development for 2 years.

Some of you may not have heard of NetEase, but you have almost certainly heard of its games – it was developed in collaboration Diablo: immortal with Blizzard, a game that has been making the headlines quite often recently (usually not with a positive spin).

By the way, it looks like Bungie is also working on expanding the Destiny franchise on TV and movies. Let’s just hope the end result of these efforts is better than the new Alone series. Sure, 343 Industries is the one to blame for that, to which the reins of the franchise were handed.

Bungie recently remained under the ownership of Microsoft, but earlier this year it was announced that Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired the studio for a whopping $ 3.6 billion.
