According to a new report by Mark Gurman for BloombergApple’s watchOS 10 update will steal the spotlight at this year’s WWDC scheduled for June 5th. The company will reportedly be announcing a major design and feature overhaul with watchOS 10.

Apple will be doing a UI design overhaul with watchOS 10

There are a couple of solid arguments why this is likely to happen. First off, the hardware update for this year’s Apple Watch is said to be pretty modest. so Apple is looking for a way to get new buyers or existing users to upgrade. Secondly, the new iOS 17 update will only bring a handful of new features and optimizations. And thirdly, watchOS has remained relatively static for the last few years. Then it’s time for a significant update.

Of course, Gurman bases his report on market speculation and analysis, so we can’t be entirely sure. We’ll know once WWDC kicks off on June 5th.
