Last week Apple unveiled the refreshed 24-inch iMac with the M3 chip, and rumors have long been circulating about releasing a 27-inch version with its latest silicon.

Today, however, the company decided to release, unusually, a statement regarding a rumor, unfortunately categorically denying it. According to Apple PR representative Starlayne Meza, there won’t be a 27-inch iMac with an M-series chip, period.

Apple says there won't be a 27-inch iMac with Apple Silicon

For those who think the 24″ iMac’s screen is too small, Apple recommends pairing a 27″ Studio Display with a Mac Studio or Mac Mini, but of course that means you lose all-in integration. one of an iMac.

The 24″ iMac also has its limitations, particularly regarding the chipset itself, since it uses the basic version, as well as ports: it has a maximum of four USB-C and nothing else.

If you read between the lines, you’ll notice that Apple’s PR rep specifically mentioned that a 27-inch iMac won’t be available. So, if you tend to be very optimistic, you could interpret this as one with an even bigger screen. We wouldn’t bet much on this possibility, but theoretically it’s doable.
