Second by Bloomberg Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to ship a cheaper version of the Vision Pro headphones and it will likely arrive in 2025. This is because the $3,499 price point is obviously too restrictive and the Vision Pro as a product is not intended for mass adoption.

Gurman’s report says the company was initially considering delaying the Vision Pro price announcement due to the negative publicity, but preferred to give everyone 9 months to get used to it.

The future headset, on the other hand, likely just called the Vision or Vision One, will aim for mass adoption. Apple may use inferior screens, less powerful chips, shrink cameras or require AirPods for spatial audio function.

On the other hand, Apple will try to keep some of the main features, such as the EyeSight external screen and the hand tracking system.

Apple is believed to be aiming for a 2025 release while a second generation Vision Pro is in the works.
