From its snow-capped peaks to its sandy ocean shores, you won’t find a more beautiful game than Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar has developed a gripping, realistic and visceral sandbox at 60 fps. Living up to the magnificent legacy left by its predecessor was a laborious task for RDR2. Upon his release, players agitated him for so many reasons.
There are some valid problems, but I prefer Red Dead Redemption 2 to its predecessor and most other games. As far as I’m concerned, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a triumph that should be hoisted on your living room cloak for every party going forward.
History
The story of Red Dead Redemption 2 takes place shortly before the events of the first game. I refuse to spoil any plot details in this review, but I’ll talk about it in general terms. As for Triple-A video games, this story may be the best. You can lose quite a bit of this game if you put it online, so you could potentially play through a very different set of scenarios than mine. However, there are enough wonderful events planned for any player to walk out the other side feeling whole. A series of optional missions make the prospect of replaying Red Dead Redemption 2 far more appealing than most games.
