Skill system

Lineage 2 differs from other MMORPGs in another area, the skill system. Instead of choosing which skills you will have after a level up, you are instead giving skill points every time you defeat an enemy. SPs are acquired on your own terms, regardless of experience gained, and can be used to learn or improve skills.

Lineage 2 was previously considered a gritty game, taking forever to get anywhere. But this was addressed by NCSoft who increased experience gains. Landing on servers with a new system known as “Path to Awakening” allows level 85 players to reach a new class and have access to more powerful abilities.

Final verdict

All in all, Lineage 2 may not be for everyone. Certainly not for me, but I can understand why the people who have invested so much time in it have. There is a lot to see and do in the world of Lineage 2 and I don’t think it will disappear anytime soon as the player base continues to grow.
