The battle mechanics of M&M Heroes: Era of Chaos are pretty simple: all you have to do is deploy the battle units like launchers, rangers, defenders into squad formation slots, strategically, considering the formation of the enemy. There is an auto battle mode which you can use in battle to cast hero skills on enemies. Your ultimate goal will be to strengthen the army by recruiting the best battle units, best hero and using them according to their strength. M&M Heroes: Era of Chaos Guide: –

There are five types of battle units in the M&M: Era of Chaos game: Offensive, Defensive, Charge/Cavalry, Ranged/Archer, and Launchers/Mounts.

• Front row – The offensive units are melee DPS units with offensive abilities.
• First row – Defensive units they excel at leading from the front row: they have shield/protection, damage reduction as an ability.
• Everywhere – Battery charger/Cavalry unit deal more damage when fighting Caster Units, plus they possess amazing abilities.
• Last row – Archers or ranged units they are ranged DPS with powerful attack skills
• Last row – Caster – The magical units in the game with magical abilities; buffs, debuffs, heals, AoE, etc.

In the Units menu of the game, you can get all the information about each unit. Go to the Units menu -> if the unit is unlocked, tap its avatar -> go to the skill tab -> tap the skill icon to read its skill details. If the unit is locked, you can preview its skills by tapping the preview icon in the lower right corner of the avatar -> on the next screen, tap the skill icon to read its details. It also displays other information about faction, aptitude, position, etc.

How To Get Battle Units: –

The main method of obtaining a battle unit in the Era of Chaos game is from the altar building. There you use the key diamonds to summon battle units; you may get a complete unit or some fragments of it. Additionally, there are many other game sources; chapters, Underground game modes, Barracks Redemption, Arena Store, etc.

Go to the Units menu and tap on a locked unit’s avatar to check all the sources you can get it from. On the locked avatar, the game displays the number of shards you will need to unlock it. For example: To unlock the Green Dragon, you need 80 Green Dragon Shards.

Team Formation: –

Offensive and defensive units can only be placed in front row slots. Charger units can be placed anywhere in the battle formation. Also, Casters/Ranger or Archer units can only be placed in the back row. Along with the units, you need to add a hero to the army. M&M Heroes: Era of Chaos features 14 heroes. Level up to unlock new slots if you want to deploy more units on the tactical battle board. For example: At level 28, you can deploy 6 units on the battlefield.

Combat Guide: –

You need the energy to challenge enemies in PvE game modes. Energy gradually restores or can be recovered once per day using diamonds. If you are a VIP, you can restore it with diamonds several times a day. Or from the energy event, you can take free energy.

In combat, you can manually unleash the hero’s abilities on enemies or set it to automatic mode. Units automatically attack enemies – all you have to do is deploy them in the right lane and in the right slot.

Game Progression: –

You will start the journey by completing the city chapters where you travel through different parts of the world and challenge enemies. From these battles, you earn player EXP. You need player EXP to level up the player – as you level up, new content is unlocked in the game:-

1.) Place units wisely and build a balanced squad

All units in the game have different abilities and playstyles. On their profile page, be sure to check out their skill info because it’s important to get familiar with their skills if you want to build the squad of the best units. For example, some caster units have healing abilities, while others apply buffs/debuffs to friendly/hostile units. So make sure you familiarize yourself with each unit’s abilities.

Next thing is to build a balanced team: –

If the enemy’s battle formation is hidden, it is best to build a balanced team. In a balanced team, you must have defensive units that protect the back line units with their skills. Melee DPS or Ranged DPS + Caster with Healing or Buff/Debuff skill.

If not, build the team based on the formation of the enemy. For example: If the enemy has multiple melee units deployed, choose a ranged DPS attack formation, covered by defensive units. If there are multiple ranged units, use Charge units as they can help you attack the back row.

2.) Sweep completed stages

Stages you have already completed can be repeated for more rewards. And you don’t need to play it manually and wait for the result because you can sweep or erase it instantly by spending energy. Tap completed level -> sweep -> get reward. It’s one of the best ways to grind EXP and other in-game items/materials.

3.) Complete training to learn all tactics

When you reach level 19 in the game, the Training Grounds feature is unlocked. These training challenges teach you how to use each type of unit wisely. For example: in the first challenge; Charge Training, you will learn how to use charge units to attack enemies in the back row. When there are no melee units in the opposite lane of the charging units, they attack enemies on the back row, ignoring enemies on their right/left side.

4.) Make units stronger

• Level up
• Upgrade their gear
• Update the unit
• Rank the unit (requires unit tokens)
• Unlock new skills

If you don’t have an item needed to upgrade the unit, tap that item and the game will show you the source where you can purchase it.

5.) Complete missions to level up fast

Daily missions grant a lot of EXP to the player and help level up quickly. So make sure you complete all daily missions as soon as possible for player EXP and other rewards. Also, there are main quests, which grant a lot of valuable items like diamonds, material items, EXP units, etc.

6.) Pay attention to side quests

Go to the world map and choose a chapter. In each chapter there are side missions to complete. Choose a chapter and in the upper left corner you will see the Explorer’s letter option – tap it and go to the side quests tab and complete them for more rewards; unit shards, equipment upgrade material, rank-up material, unit token, etc.

7.) Fight enemies on the map

In addition to the chapter mode stages, you can find other enemies on the chapter screen. Defeating them may reward you with additional rewards. So be sure to check each chapter map carefully and clear it by defeating all the extra enemies.

8.) Collect treasure and resources

There may be treasure chests and other resources on the chapter map screen. For example: crystals, treasure chests, military supplies, etc. Tap these chests or resources to collect them.

9.) Keep an eye out for the energy event

Go to the event menu and scroll down to the bottom of the event list -> more energy -> you can claim free energy at certain times of the day.

10.) Play all game modes

Might and Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos offers many game modes; campaign, subway, PvP Arena, etc. Make sure you participate in all and grind in-game currency/items.
