Brawl stars the fast 3v3 shooter from the Finnish developer, Supercell is a varied game with multiple game modes, finished 50 characters, and a wide variety of maps for each game mode. The title also has competitive game modes such as Brawl Stars Championship Challenge, League of Power, and the recently released League for clubs making it important to choose fighters to gain an advantage beyond the raw skills needed to win matches consistently. Let’s take a look at the August 2022 Brawl Stars tier list for the current season for the best fighters.
The list of levels will rank all of them 55 brawler based on their performance in all game modes, including Showdown And Duels. In addition, the feasibility of fighters in competitive modes is also taken into consideration and, finally, versatility, i.e. fighters who can fight on all types of maps.

Brawl Stars Tier List for August 2022: Brawlers to choose and avoid
New Wrangler: Otis
Otis is a B-tier middle brawler who was once supposed to be a higher tier, but pre-release nerfs knocked him down to the center. He is now in level B but has real potential and with a few tweaks to his equipment he can be a very good brawler. Its second-star power makes it useful, but there are better options available.
Overwhelmed (S +)
Here are the current best brawlers in the meta right now that can be used in most team compositions and game modes.
- Bonnie: Bonnie’s versatile and easy-to-master play style puts her at the top end. She is both a ranged fighter and an assassin and has great survival skills due to her high health in ranged mode and very fast movement speed in her melee mode.
- Janet: A well-rounded kit, high damage, good evasion options, and the non-existence of direct counters make it one of the best choices.
- Charles: A bullet speed buff made Carl very hard to ignore. A fast attack and no reloading issues coupled with his high mobility super are why Carl is one of the best at keeping control of the lane he operates in.
Worst (F)
Currently, the worst brawlers in the meta are placed in this level, as they function in specific team compositions and / or specific modes.
- Mr. P: Unable to deal blast damage, the prevalence of launchers and tanks made her turret a little weak. Siege’s removal from the game dented his ranking in the meta.
- Edgar: With the current map rotation and with many counters available, Edgar is unable to thrive in most situations.
- El Primo: The short range and the introduction of the speed change that makes it easy to evade are the reasons why the luchador is struggling in the meta and is positioned in the lower end.
- Shelly: With tanks finding it difficult to secure a spot in the meta and various tank counters available, Shelly is approaching the lower tier as she is not viable in the competitive scene although low trophy range can still reign her terror due to of super madness.
- Nita: Nita is a good fighter in Brawl Ball, Gem Grab and, to some extent, in Heist. In such modes, she can be played, but there are better options available for players to try. One of her strengths is her bear, Bruce who is unable to assert her dominance as most fighters are able to counter it.
- Dynamics: With so many fighters having high mobility, the introduction of speed gear, and not many maps favoring the dynamics-friendly play style, the explosive miner has a hard time finding a place in the goal.
- Jacky: Jacky due to lack of versatility is placed at the lower end of the list as she is only good in game modes and limited maps.
These choices were compiled after spending a certain number of hours in the game and tried and tested in competitive and other game modes. Numerous changes have also been made to the latest balance changes.
