From the developers of LDoE game, Grim Soul: Dark Fantasy Survival is another survival game for Android devices. The game challenges you to survive as long as possible in the dangerous world. The world is full of monsters and zombies and you are there; alone, helpless, thirsty, hungry and without resources. You start the journey from a mysterious land and the goal is to stay alive. The Basics: How to Play Grim Soul Game⇓

Since the game does not provide the tutorial to the players and those who have never played games like this before may face problems in understanding the mechanics of the game. In this part, we have covered the basics that help you understand the basics of the Grim Soul game.

In the Grim Soul game, your goal is to stay alive; you need to maintain three body attributes to stay alive for long :-

You may lose health fighting zombies, monsters, or other players. There are multiple ways to restore health such as level up, eat food, take first aid (bandages), honey and much more.

Thirst – No one can survive without water. In Grim Soul, it is very easy to get water (read the ultimate guide part below to know how!).

Food – Without energy it is impossible to survive in a dangerous world and food is one of the best resources to charge the character. You can easily harvest food items like berries, leaves, meat from the land (read the ultimate guide part below for more info). Here is the guide to the main screen:-

In the first event of the game, you will find yourself in an unknown land. This is your home base where you can build a house using wood, stone or lots of resources. The first step you need to do is to collect wood and craft club weapon and use it to take down or kill zombies or deer. To kill the dear, switch to the prone position and then go for the shot.

After killing zombies or deer, it’s time to collect resources from the land; vegetable fiber, wood, stone and more. Once you have enough wood, build a small house. Tap the building icon -> choose the floor, then the wall and finally a door. After building the house, build a small chest and put inventory items there except much-needed items like a weapon, ax, pickaxe, food, water. There is also an automatic collection function (bottom left corner), use this to instruct the character to collect resources automatically.

Take a look at the minimap (in the lower right corner), there you can see the location of chests, enemies, tools or devices. On the same ground there would be a corpse with a small bag. Find the bag on the map and interact with it by tapping the hand icon. You can keep the resources or items there as well.

Intruders – The basics

In the Grim Soul game, you can visit other players’ base as well and loot the resources they have collected. Likewise, they can also visit your base or land and loot the resources you have collected. That’s why you should build a small house first and put the items behind the wall.

You and the intruders can break the wall of the house using bomb or powder charge. But to get these items, you need to reach level 35 or you can find them in dungeons or loot.

In this part we will learn how to craft, build, improve, global map, tools or devices, ride, level up, how to get food, water and restore health and much more. Make sure you read everything.

Water: – Building a well is the permanent source of water. You will be able to craft or build it once you reach level 15. But how to get it if you are below level 15? It’s very easy. The game rewards you daily free honey or water in the storage in a barrel or flask respectively. Tap the store icon (see the first image) -> on the next screen, in the lower left corner, tap the storage option and there you can see the rewards.

Food: – For the initial phase, you can destroy the character’s hunger by picking and eating berries. Or build the flower bed and put the seeds (drag & drop) into the material slot. Or kill animals like wolf, deer, bear and take the meat.

• Creation, level up, points

For each activity you do in the Grim Soul game (i.e. collect resources, kill zombies), you earn experience points. On the left side of the screen, you can check the EXP bar. Earn XP and fill the gauge to its maximum point to level up.

One of the best ways to level up fast in the Grim Soul game is by killing enemies; animals, zombies, monsters. And as a reward for leveling up, you get crafting points and access to new items. Crafting Points are required to learn a specific item. As you level up, you will be able to build more items.

You should build a small house as fast as possible. But it can be destroyed by the intruder using a powder charge or a bomb. It would be better to update the walls, floors and doors to avoid being looted by intruders. All you have to do is tap the building button -> tap the house floor/wall/door -> hit the upgrade button.

As mentioned above, as you level up, you gain access to new items. In the Grim Soul game, the player can build a huge range of tools or devices to make life easy and prosperous;

To build these tools or devices, you need to explore the lands, dungeons, player base and collect the resources needed to build these items. Keep in mind that some resources are very rare and difficult to obtain from lands; you may need to enter the dungeon for these items or from loot areas/events. And to enter the dungeon, you need the dungeon key. The dungeon key is also one of the rare items. And there is no exact location of it. You could find it in zones, in loot, from the chest, by killing the guardian.

In Grim Soul, use ranged weapon to defeat or kill the guardian since he is so slow. On the other hand, if you use melee weapon, you may not be able to defeat it as its damage power is very high. And to gain access to these locations; guardian’s hut, dungeons, you need to find the map first. These additional maps are required to see these locations on the map; you can get these maps in Grim Soul from zones/lands, events or player base.

Night Cache – Contains rare or valuable items and can only be found in the dungeon. Night Guest – Night Guest in the Grim Soul game is your enemy who appears in the night. When visiting a dangerous area, be sure to bring along essential items such as enough wood or stone to craft a weapon (or long-lasting weapon), food or honey, AX/Stone Pick to harvest wood or stone. The number of skulls above the area determines the level of danger.

#6.) Increase your soul inventory

At the beginning of the game, in Grim Soul game, you have only 10 free slots. And it means you can’t collect more than 11 items. You can increase the number of inventory slots by crafting a Ragged Sack or Leather Pack.

#7.) Keep looting and collecting

It is normal that you will face many problems in gathering the resources, don’t give up. Continue to loot other players’ base or collect resources from zones.
