The Silly Fatuus is a new world mission that was added in Sumeru update in Genshin Impact. It is a unique worldwide research, in the sense that it takes a little more dedication to follow it than the conventional one “follow the marker” missions. - The first step in unlocking the research would be to find and clean up all eight strange devices that are scattered around the hermit camps in Sumeru. Players can find these devices marked in the map presented below.
- After clearing the eight strange devices, the mission is unlocked. To begin the quest, the player should visit the Hermit Camp in Genshin Impact, that is southwest from Yasna Monument. There, travelers will encounter a Hermit named Kasim it’s a Pyro Agent Fatui named Oleg.
- Players will engage in combat with Oleg once the two discover the protagonist, despite their best efforts to blend in. After defeating the Fatui Agent, players should simply continue navigating the missions.
Kasim’s willpower
For the first part of the quest, players will have to question Kasim about the location of the Fortress of Fatui. The player can then decide whether to trust or not Kasim.
