Xiaomi and Reliance Jio have teamed up to test the upcoming Redmi K50i on the carrier’s 5G network ahead of its launch on July 20. Redmi K50i will boast a total of twelve 5G bands, namely the n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28a, n38, n40, n41, n77 and n78 bands. The phone has successfully passed several real-world tests such as 4K content streaming and cloud gaming. Xiaomi also confirmed that the phone will come with a 144Hz refresh rate screen.

Redmi K50i is expected to be a renamed Redmi Note 11T Pro +, so we know what to expect in terms of specs. Xiaomi India has already confirmed that it will be equipped with the Dimensity 8100 chipset.

We should also see a 64MP main cam along with an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP macro module and a 16MP selfie cam. The battery is expected to go up to 4,400mAh with support for 120W wired fast charging.

In related news, Redmi K50i will be joined by Redmi Buds 3 Lite wireless earphones. These will be equipped with 6mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, up to 18 hours of playback time, and IP54 splash resistance.
