The first phone with 200W fast wired charging is now a reality: iQOO 10 Pro. Today the vanilla model was also unveiled, but which charges at “only” 120 W. Let’s take a closer look starting with the Pro.

The iQOO 10 Pro has a 4,700mAh battery split into two cells. A GaN charger emits a whopping 10A, enough to complete a full charge in just 10 minutes. The charger comes in the box and is paired with a 1.5m (5ft) USB-C charging cable.
The phone also supports USB Power Delivery (PPS) chargers up to 65W. There is also wireless charging up to 50W and reverse charging.
Charging aside, the phone builds on where the iQOO 9 Pro left off. It upgrades to the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, of course, which advertises a 10% performance boost with better power efficiency to boot. The chip is paired with 8/12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256/512 GB of storage (UFS 3.1), runs Android 12 with OriginOS out of the box.

The 8+ Gen 1 chipset is supported by the vivo V1 + chip, which uses interpolation to increase the frame rate of games so that they can make the most of the high refresh rate display while keeping the power consumption temperature in check. Wireless connectivity includes 5G, of course, plus Wi-Fi 6 (ax), Bluetooth 5.3 with aptX Adaptive and LDAC, the leading global positioning systems and NFC. Wired connectivity is via a wired USB-C port for 2.0 speeds.
The 10 Pro midframe is made of aluminum. There’s also an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback and stereo speakers. The phone uses a large ultrasonic fingerprint reader which can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.

The iQOO 10 Pro is now available for registration via the live online store in China, sales will begin on July 26 (Tuesday of next week). The 8/256 GB model starts at CNY 5,000 ($ 740 / € 725 / ₹ 59,300), there is also a 12/256 GB unit for CNY 5,500 and a 12/512 GB “Legendary Edition” for CNY 6,000. You must pay a deposit of CNY 100 to reserve a seat in the queue. This earns you a six month extension on your warranty and an iQOO backpack.

The iQOO 10 is similar to the Pro, but costs less, so the battery and the camera had to be reduced. This is still a very capable phone, however.

Battery capacity is the same at 4,700mAh, but the wired charging rate has been reduced to 120W. In practical terms, this means you can reach 50% charge in 7 minutes and get a full charge in 19 minutes. USB PD with PPS is supported up to 65W, however wireless charging is not available.
The other change concerns the camera. The main module still uses the 50MP GN5 sensor, but now has a normal OIS. Furthermore, the ultra-wide camera dropped to 120 ° FoV and a resolution of 13 MP. This model also has a telephoto camera, albeit with only 2x magnification and a resolution of 12 MP (IMX663). The selfie camera is again a 16MP unit.
The phone is still powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and still features the V1 + chip for gaming and image enhancement. The memory configuration options are basically the same 8/12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256/512 GB of UFS 3.1 memory.
The display is the same size at 6.78 “, although it is a flat AMOLED E5 panel with a lower resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 px. This is not an LTPO panel, however. The fingerprint reader here is capacitive and supports two fingers at the same time.This model also has stereo speakers and an X-axis motor.
The iQOO 10 will also arrive in the live store on July 26, for now you can sign up with a deposit of 100 CNY (and get the same 6-month warranty extension and the same iQOO backpack). The 8/128 GB base unit is priced at CNY 3,700 ($ 550 / € 535 / ₹ 44,000). There is also an 8/256 GB option for CNY 4,000, 12/256 GB for CNY 4,300, and 12/512 GB for CNY 4,700.
