We put the Samsung Galaxy S23 through our rigorous SBMARK audio test suite to measure its performance both when recording sound using its built-in microphones, and when playing audio through its speakers.

All S23 Series models feature the same audio specs, and performance results were relatively similar between all three models save for a few minor differences. For example, in playback, the S23’s sound was quite bright, but it lacked bass and low-mids. The upper treble was a bit resonant and not terribly pleasant.
In recording, all three devices delivered excellent audio zoom performance, but the S23 Ultra had the edge over the other two due to its wide telezoom level, which allowed the S23 Ultra to gain significant points in stamp attribute.
