We subjected the OnePlus 10T 5G to our rigorous SBMARK battery test suite to measure its performance in terms of range, charging and efficiency. In these test results, we will analyze how it fared in a variety of tests and several common use cases.

The OnePlus 10T 5G battery performance ranked in the top half of our database.
When compared to all devices in the database, its runtime score was average, with average runtime during a typical usage scenario. While streaming videos in calibrated mode, the device showed decent battery life, but struggled when streaming music. Outside, the range of use of the camera was excellent, while the GPS navigation was below average.
The real power of this device was in charging, where it showed excellent performance with its 150W charger, filling the battery in just 23 minutes and 21 seconds. The efficiency of the charge, as well as the efficiency of the adapter, was decent. Thanks to this powerful charger, the average autonomy recovered after a 5-minute charge was among the best at 9 hours and 44 minutes.
The disadvantage of all this charging power, however, was the residual consumption of the charger, which was very high, regardless of whether the smartphone was connected or not.
Regarding efficiency, the discharge currents were slightly above average, except when streaming video. But the efficiency score was still below average.
Compared to other devices in the Premium segment ($ 600 to $ 799), the OnePlus 10T 5G’s overall score is excellent. Battery life is slightly above average, with the best moving secondary score to date. The charge score is excellent and the efficiency score is average.

Full charge tests evaluate the reliability of the battery charge indicator; measure how long and how much energy the battery takes to charge from zero to 80% capacity, 80 to 100% as shown by the user interface, and up to an actual full charge.

How the efficiency score is composed
The SBMARK energy efficiency score consists of two secondary scores, Charge up and Discharge rate, which combine both data obtained during a typical use scenario based on robots, calibrated tests and charge evaluation, taking into account the battery capacity of the device . SBMARK calculates the annual energy consumption of the product, shown in the graph below, which is representative of the overall efficiency during charging and in use.

The secondary charge score is a combination of four factors: the overall efficiency of a full charge, relative to the amount of energy needed to fill the battery versus the energy the battery can provide; the efficiency of the travel adapter when it comes to transferring power from an outlet to the phone; the residual consumption when the phone is fully charged and still connected to the charger; and the residual consumption of the charger itself, when the smartphone is disconnected from it. The graph below shows the overall efficiency of a full charge in%.

It is the ratio of the capacity of a battery divided by its autonomy.
