ZTE mobile device president Ni Fei attended the Zhuhai airshow. He brought the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition with him to photograph the aerobatic displays – this is the first time this device has been officially mentioned.

This is clearly a sequel to the Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition, which packed a whopping 18GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The exterior was almost the same, apart from a couple of labels that marked it as a special edition (“18G / 1TB” and “Taikonaut”).

The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Aerospace Edition is expected to follow the same formula, except for using the new Axon 40 Ultra as a base. That model comes with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, so an additional twoGB of RAM is required.

Above are some samples of the phone’s camera. There shouldn’t be anything unexpected here as the camera is the same as the original ultra – a triple 64MP setup of wide-angle, ultra-wide, and telephoto. The photos were however resized.
