YouTube has often added a new feature to the experimental features page. Some premium customers can now zoom in with a pinch to take a closer look at a portion of the video.

The zoom function is different from the gesture that allows all users, paying or not, to fill the screen with a single pinch. It’s only available on the YouTube app for Android in the Your Premium Benefits menu within your profile settings.

Pinch-to-zoom is available for demo until September 1st. Next, we expect the video platform to officially introduce the feature or reveal a later launch date if there is an issue with the feature. There is no information that the feature will be made available to non-paying users.
